The transformation of SOSU H’s headquarters in The Meatpacking District, Copenhagen, which is now well underway, has focused on creating an inviting and outward-looking ground floor, where new and upgraded service functions welcome students and visitors with clarity, warmth, and care - reflecting the strong core values of both the institution and its educational programs.
The project is structured around three “lanterns,” placed as free-standing, sculptural figures within the building’s existing layout. Each lantern houses one of the three primary functions and service counters dedicated respectively to IT, student guidance, and reception. Behind each of these unfold spaces that range from more private to semi-public, supporting personal concentration, teaching, and other activities.
A new red has been added to the building’s palette - a warm and welcoming colour reserved for the new, open ground floor - complementing the other levels of the building, each characterized by its own distinct colour: yellow, blue, and green respectively.
The project has been developed in close collaboration with SOSU H and is expected to be finished by the end of 2025.
