BIOSIS is a Copenhagen-based architecture studio founded in 2018 by architects Mikkel Thams Olsen and Morten Vedelsbøl. Working across the Nordic, Arctic, and North Atlantic regions, the studio specialises in climate-driven, context-specific architecture shaped by local climate, landscape, and community conditions. 

We lead projects ranging from housing and master plans to community and public buildings for public institutions and private clients, developers, Indigenous communities, and other stakeholders. We often work in close collaboration with local architects, engineers, and specialists to combine our strategic design direction and climate expertise with local partners’ regulatory knowledge and delivery capacity.
