BIOSIS is a Copenhagen-based architecture studio founded in 2018 by architects Mikkel Thams Olsen and Morten Vedelsbøl. We work across a wide range of climates and contexts — from remote Arctic and North Atlantic sites to more temperate, urban settings — specialising in climate-driven, context-specific architecture shaped by local climate, landscape, and community, and increasingly by the challenge of adapting existing buildings and landscapes to a changing climate.

We lead projects ranging from housing and masterplans to public buildings, transformations, and climate-adaptive landscape architecture — for public institutions, private clients, developers, Indigenous communities, and other stakeholders. We often work in close collaboration with local architects, engineers, and specialists, combining our strategic design direction and climate expertise with local partners' regulatory knowledge and delivery capacity.
